Program Objectives
Well-designed lessons have a significant impact on achieving lasting and effective learning. In addition, well-designed lessons are also important for ensuring that learning in the classroom is enjoyable.
Recent studies in learning science offer critical and functional suggestions on how students can learn effectively and permanently. The contemporary approaches revealed by these studies guide educators in shaping a more efficient and qualified learning process.
Furthermore, developments in the field of education, along with changes in students' interests and needs, give us, as educators, the responsibility to strengthen and develop our knowledge and skills in this area.
Taking all these changes and developments into account, we have developed the Effective Lesson Design Training Program with Contemporary Approaches (ÇAYEDT).
Designed with synchronous and asynchronous content, this training aims to help teachers understand the constantly changing learning paradigms and guide them in discovering knowledge and skills in light of contemporary approaches that can keep pace with this change. In this training, we address contemporary learning and teaching approaches, the social-emotional dimension of learning, effective cognitive teaching strategies, formative assessment and feedback techniques that are increasingly important today, curriculum and lesson design preparation, and adapting to change.
In summary, this training invites teachers who want to renew themselves, update their knowledge, and create a more effective learning environment through experience sharing.
The following topics will be covered throughout the training program:
- Recognizing changing paradigms in education, the teacher's new role and responsibilities in changing paradigms
- Contemporary approaches and their impact on teaching
- Lesson design for effective and lasting learning in education
- Curriculum design
- The relationship between effective learning and social-emotional learning skills
- The impact of cognitive teaching strategies on learning
- New approaches, methods, and techniques that enable interaction
- Considering individual differences, readiness, motivation, communication
- Synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
- A learner-centered learning environment
