Program Objectives
Organized as part of the 5 Taş Social and Financial Leadership Program, this asynchronous training is implemented by the Teachers Academy Foundation (ÖRAV) in collaboration with Aflatoun International, a globally recognized organization.The program aims to equip primary and middle school students with essential knowledge and skills in financial literacy and social entrepreneurship, using active learning methodologies.
Through this training program, participating teachers will:
- Gain insight into the concepts and real-life applications of social entrepreneurship and financial literacy,
- Explore the connection between rights and responsibilities through critical “why” and “how” questions,
- Learn how to foster awareness of saving and spending habits among students,
- Embrace child-centered teaching strategies and active learning techniques,
- Support students in developing a sense of self-awareness, empathy, and responsible citizenship through interactive activities.
Content of the Program
Throughout the program, the following topics will be covered:
- Social entrepreneurship
- Social and emotional skills development
- The relationship between rights and responsibilities
- Financial literacy fundamentals
- Saving, investing, budgeting, and financial planning
- Efficient resource management and saving practices
- Identifying problems and developing solutions
- Collaborative project-based learning
- Active learning methods and child-centered education approaches
Each topic includes expert video sessions, practical classroom applications, and a summary document featuring parental guidance and activity recommendations for educators.
Who Can Participate in the Program?
All teachers and education administrators can apply for the program.
Program Duration
This training is designed as an asynchronous program. Our training courses will remain accessible for 1 month. For an effective learning experience, it is recommended that the program be completed within 1 week.
The educational content includes a Summary Document for parents with recommendations for each topic and recordings of expert meetings, as well as practical suggestions for teachers.
Certificate of Participation
Participants who complete the program will receive a digital Certificate of Participation from ÖRAV.
