At the 9th ÖRAV Education Festival, we came together in Gaziantep on November 25–26 with teachers working in the earthquake-affected region and distinguished figures from the education community. Together, we shared the healing power of solidarity, the transformative impact of learning, and a future that grows with hope.
We opened the festival with Robot Sonya!
At the opening of our festival, Robot Sonya, co-moderating the session alongside our Expert Educator Ceyda Çengelköylü, attracted great interest from participants.
The content we presented together with Robot Sonya offered a meaningful example of the transformation of education through collaboration between technology and humans.
Throughout the day, the VR and Mirror Booth stations in the event area supported teachers not only in learning but also in creating joyful and memorable moments.
We gathered around inspiring talks!
A total of 900 teachers working in the earthquake-affected region came together through talks, workshops, and experiential learning spaces.
Together with Prof. Dr. Soner Yıldırım, we explored the question “Every Child Can Learn. But How?”
With Çağlayan Bakaçhan, we deepened our reflections on leadership, change, and adaptability.
At this gathering, we did not only share knowledge; we also focused on teachers’ well-being and grew stronger together.
We connected through culture, the city, and one another!
As part of the festival, we spent two days in Gaziantep with 940 teachers from 11 different cities.
On November 25, together with our guest teachers, we visited the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, Panorama Museum, and Copper Bazaar, engaging with the city’s rich cultural heritage.
At the same time, teachers working in Gaziantep joined our festival program.
In the evening, we all came together to share the healing power of solidarity.
On Sunday, we continued the festival with 440 teachers and held workshops across 20 different themes.
Together, we multiplied hope!
The feedback we received from teachers as they left the festival became the greatest gift to us at the end of the year. Among all the shared emotions, the word that stood out the most was “hope”:
“What you have done for us gave me hope. Now I am going back to be hope for my students.”
“A wonderful experience that rested my soul and helped me face my realities.”
“I found the fragment of hope I was searching for.”
These words once again showed how every step we took together continues to grow.
