Vocational Guidance and Career Development Training / Turkey's Engineer Girls

Program Objectives

With the help of the teachers participating in the program, the program aims to


  • help students become aware of their own interests, abilities, and personality traits in order to determine their goals and life path;

  • enable students to evaluate the role of talent, interest, values, and personality traits in career choice;

  • make students and parents aware of their biases in choosing a career and to make them aware of the limitations of common stereotypes about careers suitable for women and men;

  • help students choose engineering careers according to their interests and abilities, and eliminate other factors that discourage them from choosing engineering careers;

  • familiarize students with the engineering profession by introducing them to the careers of exemplary engineers;

  • introduce the departments of computer science, environmental engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering and mechanical engineering, which are fundamental areas of engineering.

  • Effective Communication and Team Building

  • Vocational Guidance and Career Development

  • Knowing Individuals

  • Engineering Profession

School Level and Subjects
Teachers working in high schools that take students by exam, primarily school counselors and teachers in other branches

Certificate of Participation
Participants who complete the program will receive "ÖRAV Participation Certificate".

This training program started in 2019 in cooperation with Limak Holding and continues to be supported by Limak Holding.
