Environmental Sustainability 

Program Objectives

The Environmental Sustainability Program is developed to review the limited resources of the world we live in, our consumption habits, address climate change which has visible effects, to get to know related concepts closely and to realize what we can do. The program aims to enable students and even parents to collaborate for a sustainable future, to gain a holistic environmental literacy with project management and design-focused thinking steps through teachers.

During the program, the following topics will be covered:

  • Causes, Effects and Solution Proposals of Climate Change

  • Earth Resources and Our Consumption Habits

  • Renewable Energy

  • Carbon Footprint

  • Air, Water, Soil, Noise and Light Pollution

  • Project Management in Education

  • Design-Focused Thinking

  • Greenhouse Effect

  • Sustainable Development Goals

  • Permaculture

  • Plastic Waste and Recycling Processes

  • Waste Management


In addition, participants who will be included in the created social learning group will be a part of the professional learning community. 

Who can participate in the program?

Classroom teachers working in the primary school level of state schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education can apply for the program.


Duration and Duration and Schedule and Time Planning


Synchronous: Simultaneous sessions where it is necessary to participate online at the specified time.

Asynchronous: Non-synchronous sessions that can be completed at any time according to the person during the program process.


Participants are expected to participate in a 2-month mentoring process with their students and parents, to carry out activities such as plastic waste collection within the class, school, and process, and to complete the expected work during the mentoring process. Teachers who fulfill the expected work during the mentoring process will have the right to participate in the idea camp to be held online with their students.


Certificate of Participation

Participants who complete the asynchronous content of the program on time and participate in all synchronous sessions can access the MEB Seminar Certificate digitally from their personal MEBBIS pages.

This program can be available in MEBBIS with multiple groups and different activity numbers simultaneously. Checking the specified quota and application numbers on the page where you enter to apply, if the number is full, applying to different activity-numbered groups planned for the same date will make it easier for you to participate in the education.
